- Doc-To-Customer is installed as an add-in to the Microsoft application and combines the flexibility, user-friendliness and modernity of Microsoft Word® with data collections, especially from SAP® software.
- Doc-To-Customer specifically offers the possibility to prepare data from different sources in an appealing way in a Microsoft Word® document. In doing so, Doc-To-Customer analyzes the data and transfers it into the structure of an easy-to-create template. Examples of the most commonly used data sources:

- SAP® function call / RFC technology
- HTTP request (RESTful API)
- Databases (PHP)
- Template creation is supported by Doc-To-Customer using the Template Designer.
- Custom data sources can be created and defined using the Data Source Editor.
- This means that professional customer documents, such as quotations, invoices, price lists and HR documents can be created quickly, easily and flexibly by the user at any time and further edited as desired.
- With the SAP® function call / RFC technology, all existing function modules in SAP® and all self-developed function modules can be used as data source. There are no limitations, all SAP® areas can be integrated.
